Kristen Andersen
P.Biol., PWS, CPESC
Wetland Scientist | Restoration Ecologist
Kristen is a senior wetland scientist and restoration ecologist with 28 years of professional experience specializing in the design and implementation of wetland and stream restoration projects, wetland delineation, functional assessment, remote sensing and wetland monitoring.
She has managed the regulatory and compensatory mitigation process for several projects in Alberta and USA, and was the technical lead on a variety of projects in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Yukon and Northwest Territories.
Kristen is passionate as an educator and has been teaching wetland assessment, delineation and restoration courses at the University of Alberta since 2010. She has been teaching wetland delineation at University of British Columbia since 2023.
She also teaches bioengineering and stream restoration workshops for stewardship groups and municipalities.
Kristen has an extensive background in erosion and sediment control design. Her expertise includes nature-based solutions for erosion and stormwater management.





We are a small environmental consulting firm based in Devon, Alberta. We specialize in wetland restoration, delineation and project permitting.
We respectfully acknowledge that we are located on traditional lands known as Treaties 6 and 8 territory, home to many First Nations, Métis and other Indigenous peoples. We acknowledge our relationship and responsibility to this land and will continue to be an active partner with these and other Indigenous allies across Turtle Island so long as we are welcome.
